Our Goals Encourage children to stretch their minds to the next level and be there to provide that extra challenge to the high achiever. To provide a safe, happy and developmentally appropriate place for your children to cultivate their unique talents during their preschool years, to develop socialization skills that will assist them in interacting in a school environment. |

St. John’s Episcopal Church established a non-profit preschool in 1971 as part of its outreach program in Hagerstown community. We welcome children from throughout the Tri-State area. Preschool is in session from Labor Day in September to Memorial Day in May. We are a state-licensed preschool and National Association of Episcopal Schools. |

Preschool Programs We offer several programs to fit your child’s educational needs. Two programs are available for 3-year olds. Our 2 day a week class meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and our 3 day a week class meets on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00 – 11:30 am For children ages 4-5 we offer a choice of two Pre-Kindergarten Programs: 1. A three-day per week Pre-Kindergarten Program meeting on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 – 11:30 am. 2. NEW! A five-day per week Pre-Kindergarten Program for 4-5 year olds. Class meets Monday – Friday from 9:00 – 11:30 am. These programs follow Maryland State Standards for Reading, Math, Social Studies and Science to help prepare your child for Kindergarten. |

Our Teachers All of our teachers hold college degrees, and also hold Maryland State Certifications in Teaching. All teachers and assistants also participate in educational workshops, and are certified in CPR and First Aid. We are extremely proud to be the only preschool in the area that can boast of a staff with these kinds of qualifications and experience. St. John’s Preschool is licensed by The Maryland State Department of Education Office of Child Care. Our building is safe and secured. |
